Having fun with Babies

We have been having so much fun at my house lately. I have been able to take pictures and babysit some of my friends babies. My kids love it when I have babies over at the house. They all fight over who is going to hold the baby first and who got to hold the baby longer. And I love having the babies at my house too because I get to hold the babies without any of the negative side effects. You know like being pregnant and such. I also got to babysit a baby while I was in Boise Saturday night while my friends went into the temple and hello plus side. I got some Christmas shopping done while babysitting. So a big thank you to all of my friends for having babies so that I didn't have to.Ella holding Kayleigh. Ella LOVED holding Kayleigh around. This is the first time where Ella has wanted to hold a baby for more then about 15 seconds. Then a week later we got to have Bethany and her brother Garrette over while their mom did some visiting teaching. That was fun too because we got Garrette laughing so hard and that kept us rolling.

What a cutie right? It's always fun to have a baby around to help me remember when my kids were little. I miss it a lot sometimes but, I am so happy to be in the stage of life that we are all in right now.

What has been going on lately

I know that I haven't blogged in a while and maybe that is because there has not been much going on as of lately. I think that the best part of the last 2 weeks is that I am able to walk without my boot. I can't go very long without the boot on. But I go everyday without it. The first day without it I was without it too long that my foot swelled over my shoe. But I am so happy to have that old boot off. And now it is time for me to start my Physical Therapy which will be 3 times a week for a month. YAY!
Ella had her last soccer game yesterday. She has improved a lot over the season. She was a ton more aggressive and kicked the ball a few times. Afterwards she had a soccer party. She loved it. It was a pizza party at the Youth Center in town. She is sure going to miss soccer though.
Nichole also finished up her Cross Country season. She has really enjoyed being on the team and running. I have never found joy in it but Nichole loves it.

The Girls turned 12 on September 18th.

I am still in shock. I have two twelve year olds. Where has the time gone? I remember the day that they were born. On the 17th I had to go into the hospital (like I did every week starting at 25 weeks and the time I was 4 days shy of 40 weeks) Nichole's heartbeat dropped drastically. So the nurse called the doctor to find out what he wanted to do with me. He decided that I needed to stay in the hospital and be induced. 3 hours later around 4 o'clock they put gel on me to see if that would start my labor. It didn't do much for me a little but not much. I hung out at the hospital that night with Nate, my sis, and my friend Mindy. We played card games and I tried to sleep very unsuccessfully. Around 6 o'clock the next morning they started pitocin. It helped more and I started having contractions and dilating. The Doctor told me that once I started feeling any contractions then I should get an epidural just in case I had to have a C-section. Sure enough the first sign of just a little bit of pain I got an epidural. Finally things picked up and I had my two precious little girls. Natalie came first at 5:06 and Nichole arrived 6 minutes later at 5:12. There were many people in the waiting room waiting to meet these 2 little girls. My mom got to carry Natalie to the nursery. Which is great since Natalie is named after her. Natalie is so spunky. She has a sense of humor like her mom. She is very much the oldest child. She is always in the middle of a conversation even though she may not know what we are talking about. She is learning to play the saxophone and is picking up on it quite quickly. She is smart and beautiful. She wants to be a photographer when she grows up.
Nichole is a little more reserved. She is our peacekeeper in the house. She wants to keep everyone happy. She loves little kids and loves to babysit. She is very kind hearted and has a hard time when someone gets hurt or is sad. She has started making clothes for her webkinz. She wants to be a fashion designer when she grows up. She too is smart and beautiful.
Nichole with her present from my mom and dad it is a paper doll kit where you can design the clothes for it.Natalie with her present from my mom and dad. She really wanted this neon jacket that was my mom's. She loves it, we are not sure why. Nichole calls her Neon whenever she wears it.The girls had a spa birthday party last Friday. They each got to invite one friend and one of their mutual friends. The party was kicked off with a facial, cucumbers and all. Then they played a game. The girls had 1 minute to see how many cucumber slices they could stack on each other's eye. The winner got 18 slices.Next they opened presents Nichole got an itunes gift certificate from Jenna and a whole bunch of BFF things from Karly who calls Nichole Aunt Coco Puff.Natalie got these stuffed animals from Andrea and she also got a whole bunch of BFF stuff from Karly who calls her Aunt Buggy. After presents it was cake time. Nichole wanted Brownies and Natalie wanted White Cake so the face is made out of cake and the towel is made out of brownies. After cake the girls gave each other a pedicures and I made the girls lip gloss.

All of the girls had a ton of fun. It was a sleepover party so I told the girls that they could be as noisy as they wanted until 10 and after that they had to keep it down. And they did. I did not hear them again until 8:30 the next morning.

Happy Birthday Girlies I Love You Two!!!!!

Go Red Dragons.

Ella had her first soccer game this Saturday. She did really well. She kicked the ball down the field a few times and even played goalie. She would play soccer all day if she could. Ella told me the other day that she liked the games but didn't want to go to practice anymore because it wasn't as fun. Silly girl.

Just have to share these two stories with you

A couple weeks ago Tyler went to his friends house after school and so Ella had to ride the bus home from school by herself. She normally gets home at 3:15 everyday but when the big girls got home before she did (at 3:25) I new something was wrong. I called the bus company and they assured me that the driver was just running behind today. When it started pushing 3:40 I was getting really worried but I told myself that I would give the bus 5 more minutes before I would call again. But before that time was up I received a phone call letting me know that Ella did not get off at her stop and that the bus driver would swing around and drop her off when the rest of the kids were dropped off. Needless to say she didn't get home until after 4 o'clock that day.

Today while Ella was getting ready for school she picked up her shirt and looked at it kind of strange. Mom why does this have a hole in the back (The shirt had a whole cut out of the back by the neck for decoration) I explained to her why to which she replied so it is going to show my back a little then. I told her it would. She looked at me with a big grin on her face and said.... Well it's a good thing it's there and not over my butt then huh. No one would want to see my butt.

Rock and Meagan

So the family and I went to Utah again for the 3rd time in 4 weeks. This time it was dedicated to my family. We went to celebrate Rocky and Meagan getting sealed in the temple. They got sealed in the Mt. Timpanogas Temple on Saturday morning. They had a BBQ later that evening to celebrate. Of course I didn't get a single picture of the couple. First of all I forgot my camera outside the temple and second I couldn't get them to stay close enough together at the party. I will try to sneak one from them one of these days. Rock and Meagan we love you and are so proud of you.Nichole refused to get her picture taken so this is the best one that I got.Ella playing with Rock's best friend little boy's.Natalie picked up a snake and was showing off how brave she was.Ella and her major wedgie.

Tyler and his awesomeness in those awesome glasses.

On Sunday the family went to hang out with Rock and Meagan at the house they stay at. We were out on the balcony watching Natalie play in the yard when Nichole came out and asked where Natalie was. We pointed to her and she asked how she got down there. I told her that she jumped. Fortunately she didn't believe me. She then told us she was going to the back yard to play with Natalie and away she left. Just after Nichole left we noticed that Natalie was headed toward the house. The next thing you know Nichole is running all through the backyard looking for Natalie and Natalie is walking out onto the balcony looking for Nichole. The house that Rock and Meagan stay at is so big that the girls just passed by each other.

cross country

Nichole started Cross country in August. She loves it. She practices Monday-Wednesday and has a meet and practices again every single week. She does really well at it too. Her team took 2nd place at the last meet and she runs in at about 11th place for her team. One time she was running through town with one of her friends. Every time they run they are given a paper with the route on to follow. Well she is not a very good navigator and the two girls got lost. They wondered around for about 10 minutes together trying to find out where they go. Someone that the girl she was running with knew stopped and asked if they wanted a ride. Nichole not knowing the person did not get in the car but her friend did and left her all by herself. Nichole then wandered around for 15 minutes by herself until someone that she knew stopped and asked if she wanted a ride. By the time she got back to the meeting point she was in near tears. When she started walking to me she had had enough and was in tears. I felt really bad.Nichole running at her meet.
Nichole in her awesome uniform.

Family Pictures

With the help of Nate's little brother, Matt we were able to get some really cute family pictures this year. It is not often that I want to get pictures done of myself because lets face it, I look so much better on the other side of the camera. Thanks Matt for stepping in and taking the picture's that I couldn't.

Our spontaneous trip to Utah

Friday night I suckered my husband into taking me to dinner. While we were eating dinner Nate said that he was really hoping that we were in Utah right now because his family was spending time up at their time share and he really wanted to go. He said that he was hinting around about it all week long. So while still there we decided that we were going to go. We got home at 7:15 ran around the house to get all packed up and left at 8:30. We did not get to Utah until 1:30 in the morning. Saturday morning Nate went up to snowbird with his family and I hung out with the kids with my family. It was fun.Sunday morning we looked out the back door and we saw this deer. My mom and dad always have deer in their back yard. The deer have been eating my parents tomatoes from their garden. My dad took Tyler, Ella and Nichole hiking Sunday afternoon. The kids love it and it is a great way to wear them out. Also that evening the kids built themselves a blanket city. It was awesome. The kids were in there playing together for over 5 hours without fighting. That is always a small miracle. The kids even had a mayor which was Tyler. He told my mom that he had a bomb and that if everyone wasn't nice to them he would blow them up hmmm I don't know any mayors like that). They had a baby's room. I think that they used every blanket in the house.
