Tyler's Birthday Party
This is the first time that I can ever remember having Tyler's birthday party that same week as his birthday. He always has it in Utah and he always ends up having 3 birthday parties. One at the Banks', one at the Musil's and one at our house for his friends. We decided that this year it was going to be different. To make it special for him I rented out the public pool for his party. It was so nice to go and not have you and 300 other people there crammed into the pool. Tyler loved his party. And maybe we will do it again next year.
They got out water noodles and life jackets for the kids if they wanted them.

After the party we went to the park next to the pool and had cake and ice cream. We also opened presents while we were there.
Tyler got 10 dollar's from his friend A.J
And some Ben 10 figures from his friend Jackson.

Natalie's fight with a 4 wheeler and a barbed wire fence. P.S. she lost
Last night I received a phone call from Natalie asking me if she could ride on her friends quad. Because she had just learned how to drive them I told her that she could. About 20 minutes later I got a call again from her friends mom telling me that she had gotten into an accident and she needed stitches. Apparently Natalie and her friend were going down a hill toward a barbed wire fence (which just had one row of barbed wire luckily) and she tried to turn away from it. According to Natalie she couldn't get it to turn and the the quad wouldn't stop right for her. She ran into the fence which pushed her off of the quad. Thankfully they were both wearing helmets. I rushed her over to the hospital where they took Natalie right back and gave her some numbing medicine for her cut. They came into clean her cut and she could fell all of the stinging from the soapy water so they had to give her some shots to help numb it more. That was the hardest part of the whole thing. She was begging me to make them stop. Begging for no more shots and stitches. Finally the numbing medicine kicks in and she was able to get stitches. She got 4 on the inside and 10 on top. They then did an thorough evaluation of the rest of her body. On her other arm she got 5 big scratches which were very tender and they couldn't move it very much so they wanted to make sure it wasn't broken. Luckily there was no broken bones. They cleaned the rest of her up and sent us on her way.
Her hand got scratched and she was very concerned about getting it cleaned.
Natalie today complained the most about her neck. It looks really banged up and bruised so I can imagine that it hurts pretty bad. She says that it hurts to swallow. We are glad that the big cut happened to her arm and not her neck.
I felt really bad in the hospital I was asked to check her belly and I lifted up her bra to see the scratches and ended up taking off some scabs. Her shirt got pretty torn up when she fell and last night they had to cut it at the hospital and we had to cut it off of her last night because she couldn't get her hands up to take it off.
This arm actually looks a lot better then it did. But thankfully now she can move it with more ease then last night.
This is her poor stitched up arm. It was really gross to look at but I held her hand the whole time and tried to distract her by talking about school. Later she told me that I was being annoying.

The doctor told us that she had to sit on the couch and watch movies all day today so that is exactly what we did. I can tell that she is feeling a lot better then even when she woke up this morning so that makes me happy.
The little girl she was riding with got some scratches and almost lost her tooth. Luckily they were able to save it. To the mom... I promise it is okay. You did everything right. You couldn't of helped what happened. No hard feelings. Please don't worry about it anymore. It looks worse then it is but I had to blog about it because really my blog is my journal and I like to journal about all of the crazy stuff that happens.
Happy 9th Birthday Tyler!!!
My little boy turned 9 on the 21st. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is such a blessing to my family. He is super smart and loves to play baseball and the wii.
For a special treat we took Tyler to IHOP for breakfast. He had a chocolate smiley face pancake with chocolate chips and blueberries. I had so much spending time with just Tyler and Nate.

Ella bought Tyler a Pepsi and an airhead.
Nichole bought him a giant Chocolate bar
Natalie got him some squirt guns.
Nate and I got him 2 wii games, 2 shirts, a pair of shorts and a hammock
Tyler playing his new wii game. I think he played on the wii for 6 hours. Well beyond his 1 hour a day limit but it is his birthday.
Tyler wanted a chocolate cake with chocolate chips in it and chocolate frosting. Yum.

Going Private
As of August 1st I am switching my family blog to private. If you would like to continue to look at this blog please send me an email or leave me a comment with your email address and I will make it so that you can see my blog.
It's tickle time
After we got back from camping and were all showered we headed to Boise to go and see the new Harry Potter movie. It was a great movie too. On Sunday the this is how I found Tyler and Ella. He had taken off her sock and started tickling her like crazy. She of course loved it but at the same time wanted her to stop. And in turn Rocky did it to him. Later that night Rock and Meagan had to go back home to Utah. We were all sad and miss them very much. We had so much fun together and it was so fun getting to know Meagan more.

Going Camping
After we came home from all of our exciting adventures in Utah and spent one whole night in our own beds we went on the ward camp out. We had a great time especially because my brother Rock and his wife Meagan got to come with us. We went camping up on some land that a member of our ward owns. They have a really nice cabin there (we have spent the night there once before) and so it was like camping with the added benefit of indoor plumbing. On our way up to the cabin we almost got rear ended by Rocky. Nate slowed down for the turn a little late. He said he looked in the rear view mirror and Rock was still coming so he punched the gas and took off up the road a few extra feet. Luckily we were all safe. We got up to the cabin around 12:00 and set up the tent and just hung out and talked with the Pridles and we got to know them a lot better. We got them all to ourselves for a couple of hours before anyone else showed up. The night was a lot of fun. There was a creek for the kids to play in. As well as a playground. The kids just enjoyed running around with all of the other kids up there. We stayed up at the cabin until 12:00 the next day. We had a great time and the kids didn't want to leave.
