Ella's halloween party

Ella's craft class had a Halloween Party. All of the kids were invited to show up in their costumes. Ella decided that she was going to be Little Red Riding Hood this year. They had a great party this year. Ella sure loved it.
Ella won a piece of candy for being one of the kids that got their wart closest to the witches nose.

help I'm stuck

So the pictures are in the wrong order. But it started like this. I'm sitting on the couch reading my book not really paying attention to what was going on. And Tyler was playing with the buckets. But come time for him to get out of the bucket he was stuck. And he was mad. And he was angry with me for taking pictures of him. Even Nattie helped get him out. It really only took him a moment to wiggle out. But he did panic for a second.

Everything is fine in Tyler world again.

Ella's Craft Class

Every Tuesday from 10-11 Ella and I get to enjoy one hour of crafts with each other. They have lots of fun stuff that Ella really enjoys doing. Some of the things they do is play with the parachute, play with play doh, and do at least one craft that day. Ella loves the class and wakes up everyday and asks if it is craft class day. And I look forward to spending the time with her there.

Finally Nichole's Pictures

Nichole got her Pictures taken as well. She is such a sweet girl. She loves little kids and gets very excited when anyone asks her to babysit. She is a very calming person to have around. We love to spend time together reading and shopping (much like her mom). Man she is getting so big.

Finally Birthday Pictures of Nattie!!

After a month I decided that I had to take the girls pictures because they turned 11. Natalie also decided that she would rather have her picture done by me then by the school this year. I really loved how they turned out. I think this building (the blue one) is so much fun. We had a great time doing pictures together. I love my Natalie and I am very lucky to have her in my family. She is such a sweet girl. Here favorite thing to do is babysit. She is so great with little kids.

Busy, Busy Week

I had a busy, busy week this last week. I am always thankful for them because it makes me even more grateful for the time I get to spend with my family on the weekend. I had 3 Photoshoots (one was of my own kids so does that count?) this week. And my parents came up this weekend. So I had to clean, clean, clean. I felt as though I was hardly had time to sit down and breathe. But I have to say Thank you to my Dad who put in so much time putting in a wonderful closet for my bedroom. I can't wait until it is finished all of the way so that I can finally hang my close up in my own room. Thanks again Daddy!!!

Firestation trip

Last night they had an open house at the fire station for fire safety week. We got to ride on the top of the firetruck. It was freezing cold. But the best part was that the firetruck was a little to close to one of the trees and the branches whipped half of the people in the face. How do you not see a tree branch coming but it caught everyone by surprise. No one got hurt and everyone thought it was funny. After that we toured the fire station. They gave the kids goodie bags. It was alot of fun for everyone.

Happily ever after

Haley and Tiago got married in September in Pam's gorgeous backyard. I thought that the whole wedding was just beautiful. And what a great couple these too make. I hope you live happily ever after. Welcome to the family Tiago. You fit right in (anyone that Ella loves and wishes she could be married to is good enough for Haley) During their dance together
They had live music it was great
The menfolk (doesn't Ty just look thrilled to be there?)
This is Haley's best friend and her little girl. I just heard her say to her mommy that Haley looked like a princess
I love the motion of this picture.

MMMM food storage

Last week the family and I did some canning. Yes I said canning. I have never done any canning before but after spending 10 days in Utah and helping Nate's cousin can I decided that I could do my own. Plus my sister gives us some of her canning every year and yummy we love it. So Nate and I went out last Monday and bought some fresh produce.
We bought....
40 lbs. of Apples
40 lbs. of Peaches
and.....
20 lbs. of Tomatoes.
I learned how to can tomatoes while I was in Utah so I decided that the best thing to start with would be that. We did it all assembly line like. I would Blanch, The kids would peel and Nate would core and cut ( until I was done and I went over to help him). We ended up with 18 quarts of Tomatoes. I can't wait to use them and I have decided to try spaghetti sauce and salsa next year.
Next was the peaches. Nate and I did those while the kids were in school. I worked on those darn peaches for 2 days and ended up with 14 quarts and 7 pints (we ran out of quart jars and there weren't any to purchase here in Mountain Home I bought them all up and oh boy do my pints look funny)
Last I did Applesauce. What an undertaking was that. I had to hand peel, core, and cut all of the apples. Nattie and Choley helped me peel. ( The second day of doing this I got smarter and bought one of the slicers that just cut and core for you. I thought that I had one at home but I was mistaken). It took a very long time to do the first day but we sure flew through it the second and third day of applesauce. I ended up getting 6 quarts and 14 pints of applesauce. Which I still don't think is enough my kids love store bought applesauce but they really love homemade.
We had a great time doing it all and in the end I really enjoyed doing it. I can't wait to do more next year. I am going to add in some jams (which was tried and failed at this year).
A special thanks to Joy and Mindi who helped me learn how to can this year.

Nichole's Birthday Celebration

For Nichole's birthday she decided it would be fun to go to dinner and a movie with one of her friends. And lucky me I got to invite a friend too. We went to see journey to the center of the Earth and we ate at GoodWood BBQ. We had so much fun goofing off.
