A whole bunch more from outside yesturday.

I know that there are a lot of pictures on here but hey you know me I love pictures. My camera has been acting a little fishy lately so I wanted to take it out for a spin and see if I could fix the problem that I was having. Plus I had a lot of fun taking pictures of my kids. We had a great time just hanging out and building boxes for square foot gardening, jumping on the trampoline, and hola hooping. I did not get very many pictures of the girls yesterday. But I convinced Nichole to let me take a few of her to see if I could get my camera up and going again.
Tyler and Ella love jumping on the trampoline (what kid doesn't) but I really enjoyed watching their faces as I uploaded the picture's.

Natalie stopped hula hooping when she noticed I was taking pictures of her.

Nichole is building my birthday present. Hmmm I wonder what it is?

One of the kids favorite pass times is digging. I don't really know why but all of the kids like to dig. I prefer them to dig in the box that Ella is digging at here but, just outside of this box about 2 feet is a hole that is about 3 feet deep that I have begged them to stop digging in.
The kids are all excited to help Nate build the boxes for his garden.

First phase complete. Now to make it taller and dig a hole.

soccer fun in the backyard

It has been so nice outside lately that I hardly see the kids after school anymore. We all went outside tonight to play and build garden boxes. I took some pictures of the kids "Practicing" soccer. They were having so much fun.

Both the kids have their tongue out just like their mommy.

I love her face such determination.

drop kick.

Easter pictures that I forgot to post

I forgot to post the pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes. Nate and I don't get the kids Easter clothes very often. But this year the kids needed new church clothes. Two birds one stone. This picture wasn't the best of all of the kids but it was the best one there was.
I couldn't get Ella to even look at me. Sometimes she doesn't like to have her picture taken.
What a handsome guy he is.
I was lucky to find an outfit that the girls like. They are getting so picky. And the clothes are either too young or too old for them to wear.

Could it be? Spring is here!

I don't want to be too hasty in saying this but......
It may actually be the, dare I say SPRING!!!!!
We can now wear shorts (some days)
and sunglasses.
The trees are in bloom
and so are the flowers.
oops out of order and I am not going to fix it.

And toys are being left out in the yard all over the place. Yep it may just be spring.

My Blog Book

I finally got my blog published into a book. I only did my blogs from 2007. There were about 80 posts. It turned out a lot nicer then I thought that it was going to and it was fun to do. You can arrange the pictures how you want to and also decorate the pages how you like them. You can make it be different on every page or keep it uniform (that's what I did). It took me about 6 hours of sitting working on it to get it how I wanted it. I am so happy that I did it because I use my blog for journaling and now I have it printed into a book. Next book the first half of 2008.

The Dance Festival

Last night I went to a dance festival in Boise with 2 of my Young Women and Anna. It was a stake activity where we went to watch 6 different stakes perform several different dances. We left the from the church at 5:30 and stopped to get ice cream on the way. The dance festival was held at an arena at BSU. I was thinking that we were going to get there and the parking lot was going to be empty and everyone from the stake could park by each other. When I pulled up the parking lot was jam packed with thousands of cars. There were several thousand people at the arena to watch the festival. We had to park in spot far away from the arena because it was so full. It was cool to watch all of the kids out on the floor at the same time. There were so many of them. You could tell that they all worked really hard at learning the dances.
After the dance festival there was a stake dance there at the arena. There were at least 8 different stakes there. The girls were so excited to go to a dance with so many other stakes there. They had a great DJ there. The only weird part is in the whole 2 hours I think they played 4 slow songs. Anna and I sat up in the chairs and danced along with the music it was fun.

The Hannah Montana Movie

I took Nichole and her friend Karly to the movie on Friday night. We had a blast. Karly is one of my favorite of my girls friends. She reminds me a lot of myself when I was her age. She cracks me up. Plus she is just plain a good kid. The movie theatre has a sign that says how much everything costs. Adult .........................$8, Military.................. $7, and so forth. Nichole looked at the sign and it said Senior and then Child. She didn't realize that it was where it says the prices. And she said to me "Mom, what's an Senior Child?" I just started laughing and told her that it was 2 different things. I love that girl.

The Jonas Brother's

The girls had dress like someone famous day at their school this week. They dressed up with their friend Karly as The Jonas Brother's. They had a ton of fun coordinating their outfits and making sure that they were just right. Natalie had me curl her hair into tight ringlets so she could look more like Nick. Nichole dressed up like Kevin. The 3 girls got made fun of at school. Natalie and Karly took it in stride and just said that everyone now knew who they were and so that meant that they were popular. Nichole came home crying. Nichole also got asked out on a date from a girl claiming that she always wanted to date a Jonas Brother.

Naughty Dog

Yesterday Nate, Ella, Pretzel and Otis were playing outside. Nate had to go to grab something from the store and Ella came inside the house for a moment to get some water. Without thinking they left Otis outside (which has not been a problem before). Immediately after getting water she went back outside but didn't check on Otis. When Nate got back I went outside to talk to Nate and after about 10 minutes I noticed that I had not seen Otis for a while. I thought that maybe he had snuck inside. Ella and I went to search the house and checked all of his favorite hiding spots but we could to find Otis. We ran around outside looking for him. He was not to be found anywhere. Nate jumped in the truck and looked around the neighborhood. Nope, no where to be seen. I was starting to feel really bad at this point and thought that maybe someone took him or something. Nate went to extend his search a little outside the area and I ran into the house to call the Animal Shelter. I asked if they had found a little Boston Terrier Puppy and they said "Yes." Oh thank goodness. I was so worried about that little stink. Apparently they picked him up just a few houses down from ours. Now my naughty dog is not allowed outside without constant supervision.

Nate's week off

Because Nate didn't get to go on vacation in Utah with us as long as he wanted to he took this week off. It was great having him home although I didn't accomplish a lot.
*Monday* we went out to base and picked up Tyler's cleats and had lunch. Made it back in time to babysit for Heather while she went to hear her babies heartbeat.
*Tuesday* Nate got up and 4:30 so that he could go to the temple. He did 3 sessions that day 6, 8 and I joined him for the 10 o'clock session. The session was completely full. It was a very nice temple trip.
*Wednesday* Nate went to play racket ball with his friends and I went to walmart and Maurice's where I bought myself some shorts, Capri's, and a new wallet. Tyler had scouts. One of his friends went with him and afterwards came to our house to play before baseball practice at 5:30. Then I had young women's. We did a service scavenger hunt. All of the girls had a ton of fun.
*Thursday* I finally got to sleep in. Nate and I went to the grocery store. I also got to babysit Tyler's friend again after school. They had fun playing with each other.
*Friday* just happened to be one of the best days of the week not only was it a nice day outside and the start of the weekend. The truck finally got fixed. It has only been out of commission for 5 months. YAY!!! I have my life back. I can leave the house whenever I want to.
*Saturday* Ella got invited to her friends house for a sense party. They played games that had to do with each one of the 5 senses. For taste they got to try strawberries and pineapple with Carmel. For smell they got to smell different chap sticks (and taste them too according to Ella) for touch they got to feel inside a box to see if they could figure out what was in it. For hear they got to talk to each other. For seeing I am not sure because I can't get the information from her. She had a great time. I had a great time too. I went to Boise with my friends Heather and Kori. We went out to celebrate Heather's birthday. We took her to Johnny Carrino's and then we went to the mall and old navy. I am totally bummed I brought my camera to take picture's of us and I forgot to do it. I can't wait until I go out on a girl's night with them again next month. Tyler also had a baseball game. They either play 3 innings or 1 hour which ever comes first. He got to bat and both times he hit the ball and made it to the base. I tried to get there before the game ended, I did but it was really only the last 10 minutes of the game. I didn't get to see him hit but I got to see him stop a grounder. He loves baseball. Later that night Nate went to the Priesthood session of Stake Conference and I met up with him later for the adult session.
I had a great week with my husband and I am going to be a little sad when he goes back to work tomorrow.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a great Easter Egg Hunt this morning. The kids didn't wake up too early this morning. Surprisingly my big girls were up before the younger 2 kids. I got up at 6 o'clock so that I could make our Easter breakfast. And we had to wake Nate up at 8 o'clock to get things going before his church meetings. The Easter Bunny hid eggs and in one of the eggs there was a clue to tell them where he hid their baskets. The Easter Bunny is so awesome at our house he assigns the kids a color of egg to look for so that everyone gets the same amount. The kids had fun looking for the eggs.

One of my best Easter memories (thanks mom for reminding me) is ... When the girls were 18 months old we were celebrating our first Easter in Arizona and my parents came down to celebrate with us. The Easter Bunny hid their eggs outside. The girls ran around to gather eggs. When they would bend over to pick it up and put it in their baskets they wouldn't watch what they were doing so they would reach their arm clear through their basket and the eggs would fall onto the ground. You should of seen their faces when they would check to see how full their baskets were and there was nothing in them.

Our Easter breakfast. It is a sweet bread that is supposed to look like an nest full of eggs. It didn't turn out that great.

After much extensive research the girls and I made an amazing discovery. We were able to piece together the Easter Bunnies DNA. Yes it is made of plastic eggs. That is after all how the Easter Bunny is able to lay all of those Easter Eggs.
