Outside Fun!

One of my favorite parts about my home town is that I feel like the kids can stay outside and play and I don't have to worry about them as much as I have in places that we have lived.  Down the road from my parents are these two very friendly horses.  The girls (Ella and Kendell) would go and visit them and pet them.  Kendell told me that their names are Madison and Jackson.  I was so impressed that she knew their names.  I asked if she asked the owner.  She replied "No, I just named them that."  Silly girl.  The girls spent a lot of time together this summer and had so much fun together.  I was so happy that they got that time together.

My parents have some swings tied up to their walnut tree.  It is one of the kids favorite pass times.  Ella wanted to show me just how high she could go by touching the walnut tree leaves.  I remember when I was a little girl and I would swing so high that the rope would bend in a little bit.  It would give this kind of free falling jolt as it went down.  I loved that!  Rock and I would spend so much time outdoors as a kid that it makes me happy to force my kids to do it too.
