The Ring Bearer and The Flower Girl

Matt and Rachel asked Tyler to be the ring bearer and Ella to be the Flower girl at their wedding. They were so cute. And they both did a very good job.Ella was also the Flower girl and Haley's wedding and she barely threw any of her flowers so this time I told her that she could throw a little more at a time then she did at Haley's wedding. She got ride of them all within 3 throws and was still very far away from where Rachel and Matt were supposed to meet. She looked over at me and said "There gone now what mom"? I mouthed to just keep going. It was very fun to watch the Ella through out the ceremony. Both Tyler and Ella were supposed to stand during the whole thing. Ella had a hard time keeping still.Right after this she lifted her leg up toward the front and showed everyone her pink winnie the pooh unders that she was wearing.Tyler apparently had a hard time keeping himself awake. He tried very hard to stay still and pay attention to what was going on.But wait where did Ella go?She was done about half way through the ceremony so I motioned for her to come and sit by me. She wanted me to go up there and stand by her. She didn't understand why I couldn't and told me that they didn't care if I went up there with her.She visited with Aunt Shannon for a little bit.

Then returned to the front just in time to see them kiss. They both looked really cute in their nice wedding clothes. Tyler said that by the end his hand hurt from holding up the basket that had the rings in it.

New Sister In Law Rachel!

On the 26th of August my brother in law Matt got married to my new sister in law Rachel in Salt Lake City, Utah. It was a beautiful ceremony. There were about 30 people there to celebrate with them. This is the church building that they got married outside of. The skies were so blue that day.Matt waiting around for the ceremony to start.Rachel walking down the aisle.Matt catching a glimpse of Rachel.Nate's Uncle David was the one that performed the ceremonyTheir last kiss as single people.Uncle David just made fun of them saying that their kiss wasn't a very good one.Holding hands as the wedding vows are being read to them. You may kiss the bride!Rachel almost lost her hat with that kiss.Tyler was the fancy ring bearer.Exchanging of the rings. Matt almost put the ring on the wrong finger which is funny because that is what Nate tried to do to me.

Husband and Wife!

Grandma and Gramdpa's house

Seeing my kids getting along, talking together, and just hanging out. Warms my heart. It doesn't happen very often and when it does it is the best feeling.Natalie, Nichole and Grandma Banks decided that they needed to give themselves facials. Lucky for me it wasn't my girls that needed convincing of getting a picture taken it was Grandma. But it doesn't take much convincing when the grandkids ask her to do it. What fun memories they are making together.

Scrapbooking with Grandma!

Ella and my mom decided that they were going to scrapbook together while we were in Utah. Ella had a great time decorating her own scrapbook page. This is what she wrote on her page...
"My name is Ella Lew. I am six years old. Just to let you know my family is nice. Mom and Dad is the most important part because she buys the stuff in the house."
My mom thought that it was fun to watch the ideas that she had and spending time with her.

Volleyball

Both of my girls tried out for Volleyball this year. They both have just taken to the sport and really have found a liking to the game. Unfortunately they had tryouts for teams this year and only one of them made the team. I had a feeling this was going to happen. So I am so proud to say that Natalie has made the Junior High Volleyball team this year. The day I found out the coach pulled me a side and told me what happened. She also invited Nichole to be the manager of the team. She will get to go to all of the games and she will get to hang out with the team. She has decided to take the position. I am so happy that the coach was thoughtful enough to include Nichole in the team somehow. I feel so bad for Nichole. She cried and cried when we got home. Who can blame her I would of too. I can't imagine how she must feel. It is hard enough to not make the team when you are the only one in the family trying out but to not make it when your twin sister does. I can't imagine.
As for Natalie. I am so excited for her to have found a sport that she is into right now that is she is into all kinds of sports. And lucky me she gets to wear spandex that really only barely cover her butt cheeks. She has been working really hard at practices and her first game is in 10 days. I will have pictures up soon. Congratulations Natalie for all your hard work!

I have never let my schooling interfere with my education. ~Mark Twain

Natalie's first day of junior high in her words...
I went to Language arts first. We go over some class expectations then we have an assembly for the 7th graders going over security guards and stuff like that. Then I go 2nd period which is world geography which is the only teacher that lets us have gum. Then i go to art. I had a hard time finding that room. Then I went to reading . Where we just went over the lunch room stuff. Then I went to lunch. And then there is this girl sitting alone so I decided to sit by her. She was new to the district her name was Natalie too. Then I went to outside to hang out. Then I went to live science and that teacher scares me because he is strict and mean and treats us like we are two. Then I went to pre-algebra. Then I went to my locker to get my stuff and we all met by the office and walked to the middle school.
Natalie is trying out for volley ball this is how it is going according to Natalie...
It's exhausting. The second day is a lot easier then the first. It kicks your can (mom here: I asked how the girls did and Natalie said it was butt kicking and I thought she said butt picking boy was I confused) and Joy: I recommend going there to work out.Nichole's first day of Junior High in her words...
So first we walked into the school. Then I went to my locker and opened it up. Michela came over to me and said "What do you have first hour?" and I said Choir and she said "me too." Umm when we got to choir we did attendance which took 25 minutes because there was 80 people. We did one warm up and then left. Then I headed to science. We basically talked about class rules and then left. Then I headed to world geography which is where I got my agenda and then we went over the rules and then left. Then I headed to gym which took forever for me to find for some random reason. We sat down on the bleachers. Went over some rules and then went into the locker room. When we got in the locker room we went over some rules looked at the office inside the locker room and then the bell rang for lunch. Then I changed into my gym shoes because my other shoes were killing me. Then when we got back from lunch I changed back into my other pair of shoes and then went to pre-algebra. We pretty much just tossed a bunch of balls around. We went over half of the rules (I wonder if you learn about half the rules in pre algebra). We had to fill out this little paper that I had to just turn in and then left. Then I went to language arts. We took attendance and someone walked in with a bunch of flowers for the teacher (lucky teacher Nate are you reading this?) Went over some rules. Then it was the end of the day. Then walked to Hacker middle school.
Nichole is also taking Volley ball this is what she thinks of it...
Tiring, ugh hurts my shoulders. and more tiring. But I like it.

The first day of school in moms words...

I still am in shock that I have kids in Junior High. On top of that we are packing lunches for the kids. They had sandwiches, go-gurt, applesauce, water and kit-kat for lunch today. It was weird being by myself today and I look forward to the weekend.

The best teachers teach from the heart, not from the book

Ella's first day of school in her own words...
first we got to go to our desks and there was no cubbies because it is in our desks. Then we colored. Then we sharpened our pencils. Then we put stuff in baggies. Then I went to circle time. We read to books and one was about a bully. Then we went to eat. that's all.Tyler's first day of school in Tyler's words...
First up we did fire safety stuff then we did music. Then class room inspections. Rules of Recess and Hallway. Then we got our agenda. Then we did DMP (daily math practice). Then AM folder (reading). Then I wrote down stuff that I need. And then we did stuff like we talked about playing inside if there is a rainy day. We talked about what we should be needing and that's it.

First day of school according to mom...

I woke up bright and early at 6:30. I was hounded and asked every 3 minutes for 90 minutes if it was time to go to school. Ella got mad at me because she didn't want me to drive her to school but, I told her that it was too bad I get to take her to school on her first day because it is my right as her mom. Then, when I went to leave her class she didn't want me too. What a crazy twist that was. But, she did good with me eventually leaving. Then I hung out with JoHanna and went to the base to get an ID which they goofed up in my favor so that was awesome!

Then I went and picked up the kids from school and got to listen all about Tyler and Ella's day! I am so excited for them to start school but it makes me sad that I don't have any kids at home with me anymore.
