The new chickens

You are all pretty sick of hearing about our chickens but unfortunately I am not done telling about them. We picked up 4 new chicken yesterday the good thing about these ones is that we are sure that they are hens. They will not lay eggs still for another 2 months but they are about 2 months older then the ones that we have now. One of these chickens will be laying colored eggs so we are excited about that and one of them is going to be laying 1-2 eggs a day which is very good. Nate was happy to get some more chickens to make up for the ones that the dog killed. If you look under the wing on the one on the right you will see the littlest chickens head poking out
They like to all huddle together. The new ones are not used to people so they run away from us so this is the closest that I could get to them.

last day of school

The kids had their last day of school on Wednesday (it took me longer then usual to download the photos). They had an award ceremony at the school that morning all of my kids got an award. Natalie got the Presidential award for her grades and the presidential physical fitness award. Nichole got an award for the second most math problems completed. And Tyler got an award for testing the highest in the AR program (which is their reading program). They didn't have an end of year party which was sad but they did get to just goof around the last half of the day. They had a great school year. I hope they have a great summer too. Tyler with his teacher Mrs. Meservy
Natalie with Mrs. Ash
Nichole with Mr. VandeBurge

I am so clumsy

Yesterday was such a great day. I went to a case lot sale on base with my friend Aubri which was the busiest thing I have ever been too. We were done collecting everything that we wanted within 24 minutes and stood in line for 2 hours to check out. poor Nattie came with us and she was bored out of her mind but at least I had some good conversation. Afterwards I raced home so that Nate could take off to the father and sons camp out with Tyler's friend Jackson and his daddy. Then me and the girls ran around the house like wild women to pick it up because my friend Nicole was coming over. I had such a great time although we really didn't do much. But we had fun anyway. We walked to the park and let the kids run around. On the way home I stepped funny on the road (it is one of those roads where the pavement isn't exactly even at the ends so it drops down like an inch and a half and the just kinda turns into gravel) and fell and twisted my ankle. I do random things like that all of the time. I was at my friend Mindy's house and walking down her porch and I guess I totally missed a step and ended up on the ground tearing up my foot and hand. Luckily she wasn't there to see me be sooo dumb but I was talking on my cell phone to her. Don't worry the cell phone lived to make many a phone calls for me. One time I was going down my friends Cristins stairs at her house helping her carry some stamping stuff down them and I just missed a step and ended up tumbling down like 5 steps to the bottom of the stairs. The whole time I thought I hope I don't hurt her stamps. And she called after me OHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO JJJEEESSSSSSIIIIICCCCAAA! which felt all slow motion like that. There is just some examples of my clumsiness for you. Anyway it took me a second to re cooperate and I limped the rest of the way home. My foot was feeling fine so we went to walmart together. But after we came home and I sat down for a bit and wasn't really using my foot that is when it hit me. It became all stiff and swollen. I iced it but I had to move off the couch sometime. when I stood up I thought that I must of broke it or something it hurt so bad to move. I couldn't put any weight on it at all. Nicole had to help me around a but but after she left I had to hop/ limp/crawl everywhere else. But luckily now that I that it is morning it is feeling a little better. I can put some (very little) but some weight on it. It hurts pretty bad hopefully it will start feeling better so I act all limpy at church tomorrow. Oh well we will see.

and then there were 2...

A sad day in the Musil household. Pretzel, our stupid, stupid dog, got into the chicken coop and proceeded to kill 3 of the remaining 5 chickens. Does anyone want a dog? I have been trying to give her away for years and I think today is as good a day as any. I wouldn't cry. But everyone else would.

The night sky after the day of storms in Mountain Home

We got some much needed rain here in Mountain Home on Memorial Day. I thought that the sky was pretty and clean looking after that so I had to take a picture of it. Of course the picture does it no justice but it is still pretty.

fun outside

Just wanted to share some pictures from our outside fun. There is no pictures of Tyler because he was not there at the time. The baby chickens will climb right up your arm onto your head. If you look right above ellas hand on her arm you will see that the chicken pooped all over her and her shirt. yuck
The girls each holding a chicken. You should of seen them running around trying to catch them. They are getting sooo fast.
Ugh aren't these things sooooo ugly? And they are only going to get uglier. This one is doughnut.
Nate sure loves his dog
The girls smiling for the picture

I have heard of eggs on toast but doughnut on pretzel?

Pretzel is not to fond of the chickens. She has tried to bite them several times. So you can image how long it took to take this picture. Doughnut is the chicken in this picture (No chickens were hurt in the filming of this project).

The Host

So it took me long enough but I finally finished this book. And I really, really liked it. We all know what a fan of the Twilight series I am. So I wasn't sure how much I was really going to like this book. It did not grab my attention like the other one did at first. But in the end I couldn't put it down. I even almost cried. The stories characters were very believable and I thought if put in that situation I could really relate to them. All of them. Even the reluctant, mean girls. I recommend this book to anyone. I am not even a scifi reader and I would still recommend it. I am definitely going to read this book again.

Modest IS Hottest!!!

For my Activity Days this week we did a modest fashion show where the girls divided up into groups of 2, with one designer and one model. I gave them 8 pieces of tissue paper and they had to make an outfit that was modest. The girls walked the runway and posed at the end with their designer. I had to go around and have some of the girls make adjustments to thier "clothes" so that they would be modest. After all of that was done we talked about why we needed to dress modestly. All of the girls had such a great time doing this so I thought that I would just post it on my blog so everyone else could see how fun it was too.Natalie with her Model. You like the shoes?
Nichole with her model. I love the bows. She put alot of details on her dress.
2 of the girls. I think that this outfit could totally translate into a real dress and I think the purse is really fun too.

I know how to pick up chicks

I went out with my friend Nicole a couple of weekends ago. When I got home Tyler came running up to me and said "Mama Mama I can know how to pick up chicks now". I said "What"? He repeated it and Nate and I just started laughing. Tyler didn't know what was so funny so I told him that picking up chicks is when you try to get a girl to date you. He was so embarrassed. He reassured me that that wasnt what he meant (which of course I already knew). You see since we got the baby chickens (we only have 5 now 1 died) Tyler has been afraid to reach into the box to pick them up. He always made someone else pick them up for him. So he was sooo happy that he could finally "pick up chicks". So Tyler I am so glad that you can finally do it. I was so tired of "picking up chicks" for you. I found this very cute shirt and Had to get it for Tyler.

Even whe I told him what the shirt meant tyler still wanted to get it. He has a good sense of humor. Although who knows he may think it means baby chicks. HEHE

Tylers field trip to the ZOO!!!

Tyler had his school field trip today!!! We had a lot of fun going. I lucked out and only had 1 other little boy to keep my eye on. Tyler and I rode the bus up to the zoo while Nate and Ella drove the van and met us there. Tyler said his favorite part at the zoo was lunch. Yep it was that exciting. But he said his favorite animal was the monkey. The zoo here is tiny atleast compared to the one in Utah or Arizona. But we had a good time anyway. This was Tylers first ever field trip because they didnt get to go on one when he was in Kindergarten. Tyler and I on the bus. Tyler took the picture.

To the G -To the O- Yell GO tigers Go!!!

I know this sounds odd but for my own sanity I signed the girls up for cheer this year. It was either Tball 6 times a week or cheer. Now I will only have tball twice a week. The girls had fun doing cheer. I think Ella was a little too little. But I had fun watching her try. After 4 practices they got to perform thier cheers and dance at Crazee Days for a huge audience. All of the girls did great.Posing for grandma before it started

what a weekend

My Parents came down this weekend and what a fun weekend it was. They got here early Friday Morning and we went over to The kids school to watch field day just for a little bit. Then we went to my favorite little shop in town called Green's Nursery. It sells not only flowers (which I have absolutely no interest in) but cute little decorations for the house (which I love). I could spend quite a bit of money there if I didnt watch myself. Then we hung out for the rest of the day. The next day we got up bright and early so that we could go to Boise and get new windows at Home Depot (yay new windows) when we got back Nate and my dad put them in then we had to rush off to Crazee days. Which is not only how I have been feeling about my days lately but also the name of the celebration here in town. which was were the girls performed the Cheerleading that they had been learning (If you know me at all you must know how I feel about that so I don't think I need to say anything). The big girls also won 1st and 2nd place in the Hola Hoop competion. Natalie hooped for oer 4 min. and Nichole hooped for 2.3 min. (Nichole started later then Natalie or she would of hooped that long too) Both could of gone longer but I made them quit because they had thier second cheer performance they had to get back too. Then the 2 little kids had 2 differant bday parties to go to. While they were gone the rest of us went to lunch. Later we played a game of baseball. Sadly my parents got up bright and early and left this morning. We had a great weekend together. I sure will miss them.I know the picture is fuzzy but it shows some of the action.
Batter up Nichole
Tyler insisted on playing even with his "sprained foot"

Ella played in the puddle almost the whole game.
Don't they look like they were excercising a ton during field day.
Natalie wasn't too happy here. Some little boy pushed her into some weeds and she had a hard time getting over it
Tyler sitting with his class.

Field day was a joke this year. I guess the school was told that they were behind in science so they had a science themed field day. Which included very little field and a whole lotta science. The kids were all so dissapointed.
My mom and I
This is what I made my mom for mothers day. Happy Mothers Day Mom. Almost a week late.

soooo busy

Over this last week I have been sooo busy with Photography I didn't even know what to do with myself. I had 4 photoshoots and I edited for atleast 10 hours. But all of them are done know (with the exception of the baby I am taking pictures of today). I know realistically that a photographer that is busy has several shoots to do a day and on top of that several hours of editing. I personally don't ever want to be that busy. I still want to love taking pictures. I just wanted to share with you 4 of my favorite pictures from the 4 differant shoots and if you wanted to see more you can look at my photography blog.
This is my friends 3 week old little girl. You don't know how excited I was to get to use my zebra blanket. You really have to know your customer if they are going to let you use a zebra print with thier 3 week old.
This 6 week old has 3 older sisters that I got to take pictures of that day too.
I did family pictures for people in my ward. The last time they had them done was 6 years ago and since then they have added 2 son in laws. This is one of them.

I also took pictures at a wedding reception this weekend. This is a picture of the bride dancing with her daddy.

Happy Mothers Day Mom!!!!

How lucky am I to have such a wonderful Mother. She is the best mom I could of asked for. And she is my best friend. I hope that when my girls grow up that I will have the same kind of relationship with them as I do with my mom. I love you Mom!!! You are the best. Whenever my mom says that I am pretty I tell her she has to say that because I look just like her.

I thought that this was interesting

HowManyOfMe.com
LogoThere are
3
people with my name
in the U.S.A.

How many have your name?

For some odd reason I thought that there would be more then that. I know with a unique name like Musil not likely but with such a common first name I just thought that there would be more.

BTW there are 358 Jessica Banks' (my maiden name)

Happy Birthday Mindi

Happy Birthday Mindi!!!!! Sadly I had to steal this picture from Mindi's blog because I realized that although I have know her for over 11 years I do not have a digital picture of her at all and I do not one of me and her together either (we might have to remedy that next time I am in town) Mindi I think that you are a fabulous person, an amazing mom, and I am lucky enough to call you my cousin and even luckier to call you my friend. I hope you have a great birthday!!! Loves ya!

Yes another post

I think spring may be here. Nate is sooo excited with the blossoms on his pear tree. He is going to start planting this weekend. We are crossing our fingers that it has stopped freezing at night. This is the pear tree in our backyard
here it is in color
look how pretty the blossoms are
