Natalie and her first dip netting experience

While everyone else was off having an adventure of their own Natalie was off dip netting.  If you don't know what dip netting is let me tell you.  You take these enormous nets (bigger then a tire), you go to a river either just off to the side of the river or in a boat and just dip your net in and catch fish.  This is all done during the Salmon run which happens during the month of July here in Alaska.  My family is allowed to catch 75 salmon.  That is a ton of fish especially since we all don't like it.  Natalie didn't actually get to do the dip netting.  The water was too rough and the people she went with didn't feel comfortable with her getting in the water.  She did gilled and finned the fish.  Her group caught over 200 fish.  Natalie brought home about 20 for us to enjoy! By the way that is a lot of fish.
