Every July in Eagle River the Bear Paw Festival. It is a fun celebration with lots of activities during the weekend. On Friday they have a teddy bear picnic. The have a free picnic and activities for the kids to do. It's great to get out of the house and participate in something. This year the only people excited for it was Ella and me. But I made everyone go anyway. The kids begrudgingly went and ate the picnic food.
Ella jumped in the bouncy houses and got her face painted. Afterwards we went and walked around the food and seller booths. I gave everyone 5 bucks to eat with. We had quite the assortment of food to try.
Later that night when Nate found out that the carnival had gyro's I had to go back and get him one. Man I am a good wife.
On Saturday my family and the Fisher family walked to the parade. It was a great day for a parade too. The kids loved getting the free candy and I enjoyed the fact that it was only a hour long.
Natalie and Nichole participated in a flash mob in the middle of Bear Paw. It was done to "You Can't Touch This." I don't have any pictures from it because I took a video. They did great and had a lot of fun doing it. The Wednesday before the flash mob the girls came home from flash mob practice and were all pumped up to show me the flash mob. I was doing the dishes and kept putting off watching it because I wanted to get the dishes done. It was really weird too because as I am talking to the girls about practice the front door blew open, twice. And Natalie went outside for fresh air because she was so hot. Finally after finishing the dishes, wiping the counter, and changing the laundry over. I made it downstairs to watch their flash dance. They were doing such a great job when about 24 counts into the song my back door gets thrown open and in runs 8 other girls and 1 YW leader. I got flashed mobbed at my own house. Folks that's how you know that you've made it. You get your very own flash mob at your own house. I am just that awesome!
