I want to ride my bicycle. I want to ride my bike.

I came home the other night from working out and guess what?  Ella was in the middle of the driveway riding her bike!  She has never done that before.  Nate decided that he was going to fix up the bike's for the summer and got Ella's bike ready to go.  He then handed it to Ella gave her some basic instructions and she was off.  She took to it almost immediately.  I was sad that I missed this momentous occasion but I am also happy for her that she is riding her bike.  Now she is constantly hounding us to go outside and sit with her while she rides her bike.  Nate decided that he would take Tyler's bike for a ride too.  Right off the bat he crashed it into the van and then accidentally popped one of the tubes in it.  After he was done with the bike he decided that he would take a turn on Ella's razor scooter.  He decided to show off and do a trick and crashed.  The neighbor had just pulled up and was unloading  stuff from his car when it happened and you could see the confusion on his face as he tried to decide if he should ask if Nate was OK or if he should just ignore the grown man on a little kids scooter and save the grown man his dignity.  He choose the latter and I am sure went inside and told everyone there about Nate's awesome trick!
I am glad that Ella has found the love of bike riding.  I used to love to do it when I was little (and even jumped on the bike myself this weekend and my tush is paying for that now). It seems that a whole new world opens up to you when you can finally ride a bike!  Way to go Ella!
