I remember that one year for my birthday my parents threw me a surprise party. I was in grade school when it happened. Third grade I think. My dad took just me to the mall to get my mom a mother's day present (mother's day is always the Sunday after my birthday). When I got home that evening I walked into the living room and everyone yelled surprised. I ran out of the room as fast as I could and hid the present in my bedroom my mom could see it.
The party was a blast! We played games and stayed up all night long (it was after all a sleepover). My mom made a poster for all of the people who came to my party to leave me a note on. I kept that poster for a very long time.
One of my other favorite party activities is when my mom would cook a whole bunch of sugar cookies and make a whole bunch of frosting in different colors and we got to decorate our huge sugar cookie however we wanted to. That was always fun.
Now as an adult my birthday's mean something different (they mean I am getting older). Nate is a wonderful husband and spoils me for my birthday. He makes dinner for me every year and buys me exactly what I want (then again I give him a link as to what I want). The kids give me lots of loves and they always clean the house without being asked. Man my family loves me!
