Where liberty dwells, there is my country. ~Benjamin Franklin

I convinced Nate to have a BBQ to celebrate the 4th of July.  But, we did it on the 2nd because 1- it was a Friday and not a Monday like the 4th falls on and 2- I thought that we would have better luck trying to find some where to BBQ at.  We headed up to Otter Lake which is where I went to girl's camp but this time we went to the other side of the lake.  I was right about it not being super busy.  We had a great area close to the lake and the play ground.  Nate roasted chicken and it was TASTY!  We also had potato salad, chips and strawberries.  I bought stuff for smore's except for the marshmallow's because we had some at home and guess what that is exactly where they stayed.  I forgot to bring them when we went out.  We ended up eating just the candy bars. The kids ran around and played tag, mother hen, and played all over the playground.  Nichole brought her friend Carrie.

The stupid dog got really hot running around so much so she decided to go get a drink in the lake.  Which was no big deal until she laid down in it.  Oh Boy did she stink!

The view is spectacular.  Every time we go up to Otter Lake we see at least one bald eagle.  That day was no different.  I just love seeing those majestic birds.

I had Nichole's friend snap some pictures of my family.  It was nice having an extra person there to do that.
