One cannot collect all the beautiful shells on the beach. -Anne Spencer

The third day that we were in California was spent in San Diego.  Our very first spot was the beach.  I love the beach.  I love the sound of the waves, the sand in my toes, and the water around my ankles.  I was excited to see Ella's reaction to the beach.  She loved it too but for different reason's.  She loved collecting shells, collecting shells, and well collecting shells.  We hung out at the beach for a while before we headed over to Old Town. From there we hopped the train to Little Italy where we enjoyed some lunch then went off to Sea Port Village for some shopping. I had a great time in San Diego and I am very glad we were able to go there on our trip.

Dad enjoying his "See Food" while Ella teased about coloring on him.

Holy smokes that is a big pizza for one little girl

For dinner that night we ordered in Chinese Food.  We were plum tuckered out and my mom and I were both sun burned pretty good.  Anyway my dad went through all of the bags only to find that they didn't give us any eating utensils.  My parents happened to have 2 spoons with the luggage which my mom and I used to eat with.  My dad well, he ate with a shoe horn.  After we were all done eating my dad got into the bag with the fortune cookies in it.  What do you know? The forks were in there the whole time.  That's ok.  We got a good story out of it!
