We left Las Vegas bright and early in the morning we wanted to get a full day in at Disneyland.  We arrived to our hotel around 1 pm.  There we tried to check in but since they weren't ready for us, we parked the car and walked to Disneyland.  We were only a block away from the park.  We walked through the Disney Hotel to get there.  In the lobby of the Disney Hotel there were 4 Disney characters.  Ella got her picture taken with all of them.  Then we walked through Downtown Disney.  Anyone can go to Downtown Disney without going to the park.  It has shopping areas, restaurants, a movie theatre, and the biggest Disney store in the world. 

When we got into the park Ella's eye's were huge.  She had the biggest smile on her face too.  She was in awe.  I loved watching her look at everything and take it all in.  The first ride we went on was The pirates of the Caribbean.  Then we hustled over to Thunder Mountain and then rushed over to Indiana Jones.  Those are always the first three rides my parents take the kids on.  I was worried that Ella wouldn't like them very much.  Yeah that was pointless.  She loved the rides.  We went on many rides that day.  The best was Splash Mountain.  We also had the longest wait for it.  Ella sat in the front for that ride.  And she got soaked.  Her eyes were full of surprise when we went down the drop.  In the picture they took it looked as if she was crying.  Luckily she wasn't.  She liked it a lot but she was really cold.

After a good 5 hours in the park we walked back to the hotel.  We ate there at the hotel that night.  Afterwards Ella went swimming.  What a great first day at Disneyland!
