Gingerbread houses

Yesterday The big kids helped the little kids make Gingerbread houses while Nate and I went to the temple. I asked Nichole to take picture's while I was gone. We figured that Ella would behave better while we were at the temple this time if we had a project for them to do. The kids had a great time doing the gingerbread houses.
Ella and Nichole's house. Before. I used just a little tape because they were too impatient to hold the house together while the icing dried. And it worked. Nichole and Ella's after. I think that they used every piece of candy on their house. Well not every piece they had to eat some of them too.

Tyler and Natalie's before. I helped all of the kids up their house's together before I went to the temple. Natalie and Tyler's after. They didn't use nearly as much candy not that you can tell from this view.
Natalie working hard on the house
Tyler is getting the window ready to put on the house.
They just look angry. They are really sick of pictures.

Nichole and Ella right before they started out. Ella is doing this new thing with her eyes in picture's She is opening them up really funny that gives her deer in the headlights look. It cracks me up.

Nate and I enjoyed our temple trip. We left the temple at 5:00, grabbed some fast food, then jumped on the freeway to come home (it usually take about 45 minutes to get home from Boise). Last night it took 2 hours and 10 minutes. We were at a dead stop on the freeway for over 40 minutes. Of course the first snowfall of the season tends to do crazy things to the road. We saw 1 truck jack knifed, 4 slide offs and 1 major accident on our way home. It was scary
