The night of the Tuff Sister Challenge JulieAnne Fisher, Marissa Murphy, and I decided to have a girls night. David was working late and Marissa just wanted a night out with her girlfriends. Natalie and Nichole (Nichole ended up not going she was too tired to make it) were going to watch her two kids while we went to dinner and afterwards we were going to watch Pitch Perfect at her house.
I picked up JulieAnne and headed over to Marissa's house. There were things that were a little fishy but I didn't but those things together. Like about 20 minutes before I left Ben (my friend Erin's boy) asked if Tyler could come over during my pintrest party. I told him that I wasn't having a party and even though he argued with me that I was I never thought anything of it. Also when we went to knock on Marissa's door her curtains were closed. They are NEVER closed! EVER! We decided to just go to eat somewhere super close to her house ( I originally just wanted to bring food over to Marissa's so that I could come in my pj's but she knew that I would kill her for letting me show up in my pj's so she talked me into going out to eat) so that if anything went wrong with her youngest she could be close at hand.
We had just sat down to order drinks when Marissa's phone rings. It's Natalie she needs Marissa to come home Ryker won't stop crying. I try to convince Marissa that Ryker is okay. When that doesn't work I take the phone from Marissa and try to convince Natalie that the screaming baby that isn't screaming is okay. Thinking that I am doing a huge favor to Marissa by letting her have a break from her kids. After much convincing by Natalie we head back to Marissa's house. I feeling like a jerk for trying to keep a mother from her baby.
Now Ryker is usually a happy kid and when anything goes wrong I can usually get him to calm down myself. I tell Marissa that I want to go in to see if I can get him to calm down. She's all go right ahead. Little did I know that I was walking into a trap.
While I was gone for the short 15 minutes the house has been transformed into a birthday extravaganza. There is food and decorations and people! There are tons of people! They are all yelling something at me. I am unsure what and I stare blankly at them in surprise. What the H is going on? Later I am told that instead of surprise they yelled Gerard!
It took me a few minutes to come to and realize what was going on. My amaze-ball friends threw me of all people me a surprise party. The party was me themed. People stalked my pintrest page and found food that I had pinned and put together a potluck full of food that I would like. Plus Marissa planned several crafts from my crafts board to make as an activity. The Happy Birthday Banner well, I picked out the font. I just happened to be there when my friend stopped by to use Marissa's silhouette to cut it out. The birthday plates I chose those. I went to Target with Marissa to help her get things for her nieces bday party she was throwing. I even helped put together the invite list. Man I am good at party planning.
As I walked into the house Marissa's said that she got me something special for the party. As a joke I said "You got me Gerry"? Guess what folks as the title of this blog posts lets on and all of the bazillion of pictures that follow show she freaking got me Gerry! Gerard freaking Butler came to my party and bonus he now resides at my house. Having been put in safe keeping in a room where he can no longer give me a heart attack when I am alone in the house and who the crap is that over there oh it's just Gerry! To top that off he is made out of a special material that can go outside for 3 years without fading and he is water proof to boot. If you know of my slight obsession with this handsome, handsome man who would be on my ahum list if I had an ahum list then you will know how excited I am to even have a cardboard cutout of this Freaking hot man (second to my husband of course)!
After the shock of things wore off a little bit and I was able to talk (yes I was without words) I chatted with people for a bit and ate some delicious food. I went over to thank Marissa and JulieAnne. Marissa kept asking if I was mad at her. How could I be mad when someone threw me a party! I told her that I was honestly surprised that that many people actually liked me and cared for me enough to show up. I may have cried a little. Folks when someone throws you a party like that you may understand.
That night I was surrounded by some of the best girl friends anyone could ever ask for! Tons of food and crafts galore! It was amazing! I felt truly blessed and loved! Thank you Marissa and JulieAnne for throwing my such an outstanding party!!!
Gerry and I. Yep I get to call him Gerry and I got to hold his hand!
The cute decorations and the Happy Birthday Sign that I got to pick the font for!
I am so nice I even shared Gerry with Ruby!
Some of the amazing food I had that night. I had to try everything. I will tell you there was a lot of jalapenos and a lot of Carmel stuff on that table.
Marissa was setting up the craft table with things to make Shrinkie dinks with.
Natalie got her picture taken with my boyfriend err I mean Gerry.
Some of the girls getting their craft on!
Enjoying some food!
This table had some plaques with different kinds of materials. I made an owl one.

More of Gerry and Me!
One of the best parts of the evening was taking this bad boy home with me.
This was his home until after my official birthday. He scared me everyday about 6 times. I could not get used to having another man in the house. Pretzel hated him and barked at him relentlessly whenever she saw him. The first night in his new home I put him outside of Nichole's bedroom door and he scared her when she opened the door up in the morning.
My awesome friends signed the back of Gerry. I turned him around hoping that he wouldn't scare me as much. Guess what? It didn't work.
This has to be one of the best birthday in the history of man kind. Or in the very least the history of Jessica. It was that good!
