After this post I am all caught up again. For family home evening this week we took the kids to a campsite about 5 minutes from the house to make s'mores and burn some of the sensitive paper work that was in our filing cabinet. Ella helped us out by twisting some branches off a bush to make sticks for our s'mores. We forgot to bring something to roast the marshmallows with and we also forgot to bring something to start a fire with. We weren't as prepared as we should of been.
At the top of this little hill was the freeway. Yeah super safe for the kids to go hiking up.All of the kids did a lot of rock skipping. The ones that could figure out how to do it. I tried to explain to Nichole how to do it so she picked up a rock and instead of trying to skim it off the top she plopped it in the water. Nope she did not get it.
You know me and graffiti. If I see it I have to take a picture of my kids by it.
Ella flying and apparently cheering.
The kids new favorite is smores with peanut butter cups instead of just plain chocolate.
I love this face of Ella's.
Nichole didn't like this stick very much and insisted on beating it to death.
If you look carefully you can see that the rocks say Ella on them.
Don't ask I am still trying to figure out what she is doing here.
Apparently this rock is very heavy. Either that or Tyler really needs to go to the bathroom.
Nate took the shovel and started throwing water on Ella. I thought it was funny. But, she did not.
The kids did not leave the water completely unscathed. Two of them fell into the water. River one Natalie and Tyler 0! I had a fabulous time roasting marshmallows with the kids.
