We finally got our belongings here on Monday the 28th of December. I was really bummed that the movers weren't able to bring our stuff on the 23rd like we had originally planned but in hindsight I am grateful that it did not get delivered on that day. With the boxes and boxes and our house in shambles I would not of been able to enjoy Christmas. I don't think that I would of been able to sit down on Christmas. Anyway, the 28th started with the mover's showing up early in the morning. Nate helped the best he could and I kept the kids wrangled into the family room. The movers were really good. They unpacked the truck into the garage and then would move the stuff from the garage into the house so that the house would not get cold. The couches wouldn't fit downstairs so the movers were just going to leave them in the garage. But somehow Nate convinced the movers to hang the couch over the patio while Nate held onto it while the second mover ran down the stairs and helped the first mover hold onto the couch. Then Nate would lower it as far down as he could and the movers would say now. Then Nate would drop the couch into the hands of the movers. Now those are some awesome movers.
I know in this picture the house is a mess. The sad part is that it in no way shows just how many boxes we had to move in. The first day we didn't have time to unpack much so we just moved the boxes out of the way. It was like living in a maze full of boxes. The next day we started unpacking. I quickly noticed that the movers in Idaho did a poor job labeling. If the box had one article of clothing in it and everything else was kitchen stuff they would label the box clothes. That has made for some complications while we are unpacking. But for the most part over a week later we have unpacked enough to run our house.
