Thanksgiving

I hope all of you have had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend. Ours was great. We got to go to Bend, Oregon to spend it with Nate's little sister Tessa, her boyfriend Casey and their new baby girl Olivia. We are so thankful that they let us invite ourselves to their house. We had a wonderful dinner which included way too much food. But it was tasty. We had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes. funeral potatoes, pistachio pudding, jello salad, green bean casserole, rolls, yams, pecan pie, coconut cream pie, and apple pie. It was all so tasty. This is Olivia. She is the cutest little thing. She is such a happy little girl. She is starting to smile although she saved most of them for while she was sleeping.Nate spent a lot of the weekend figuring out the Rubix cube.Tyler spent a lot of the time with Casey. Either playing the game boy or chess. But of course there was time for fishing. The river runs right in the back of Tessa's yard. They had a trap out there to catch crawdads.Natalie and Nichole slept at Tessa's and the rest of us spent the night in a hotel. This is not the first time that I have caught Tyler and Nate sleeping in the exact same position as each other. They were banned to the other bed. Apparently Thanksgiving dinner did not agree with them. This picture is funny because although it is not clear it shows all of the movement in it.Tessa entered a gingerbread house in a competition this year. There were a ton of great houses there. Tessa's being one of them. These were my favorites. This is the candyland house. This is one of the resort that it was held at.An under the sea theme. And here is one with A Christmas Story themed. They had to be 75% edible. Here's some more of Olivia.Nate, Tessa, Nichole, Ella and I went to a tree lighting ceremony in the middle of downtown Bend. Santa came and lite the tree. He had us count down from 5 before he flipped the switch. The first time it didn't work so we had to do it again.Ella got to see Santa and he waved at us while we were walking beside him on the road.Tessa and Casey.Nate and that darn Rubix cube.

What a great experience our trip to Bend was (even though on the way home we slid all over the road trying to not hit the car that was in front of us that had turned sideways in the road). I am so happy that I got to go see where Tessa lives. Hey she even went out on Black Friday with me.
