Gingerbread houses

Yesterday The big kids helped the little kids make Gingerbread houses while Nate and I went to the temple. I asked Nichole to take picture's while I was gone. We figured that Ella would behave better while we were at the temple this time if we had a project for them to do. The kids had a great time doing the gingerbread houses.
Ella and Nichole's house. Before. I used just a little tape because they were too impatient to hold the house together while the icing dried. And it worked. Nichole and Ella's after. I think that they used every piece of candy on their house. Well not every piece they had to eat some of them too.

Tyler and Natalie's before. I helped all of the kids up their house's together before I went to the temple. Natalie and Tyler's after. They didn't use nearly as much candy not that you can tell from this view.
Natalie working hard on the house
Tyler is getting the window ready to put on the house.
They just look angry. They are really sick of pictures.

Nichole and Ella right before they started out. Ella is doing this new thing with her eyes in picture's She is opening them up really funny that gives her deer in the headlights look. It cracks me up.

Nate and I enjoyed our temple trip. We left the temple at 5:00, grabbed some fast food, then jumped on the freeway to come home (it usually take about 45 minutes to get home from Boise). Last night it took 2 hours and 10 minutes. We were at a dead stop on the freeway for over 40 minutes. Of course the first snowfall of the season tends to do crazy things to the road. We saw 1 truck jack knifed, 4 slide offs and 1 major accident on our way home. It was scary

My last Activity Days Activity

Yesterday was a day full of mixed emotions for me. I had my last Activity Day Activity. It was so much fun. We had all of the girls mom's kidnap them and bring them to my house for breakfast in their jammies. not many of the girls knew that they were going to be going anywhere that morning. A couple had to tell their kids to even get them out of bed. We had such a great time. We ate eggs, sausage and muffins. Then they decorated bags and we gave them a little cup filled with candies. I am going to really miss these girls. Although.....

I will be seeing them again in a few years since I was just called as the Young Women's President in my ward. I am very excited to start this calling. I can't wait to get to know these girls. We have some really neat girls in our ward. I am a little anxious too since I haven't been in Young Women's since I was about 16 years old.

Tyler's School Concert-- The Big Chill

Tyler had a school music concert last night. It was called The Big Chill. It was about how the kids and the teacher's wanted to have a snow day. It was really cute. They all did a great job. They even threw fake snowballs at the parents. It was the perfect concert. It lasted a whole whopping 25 minutes. Perfect. great job Tyler.Tyler walking up to the stage. The teacher had the kids smile and wave at the parents.
The picture quality is very poor but I wanted to post some pictures on here anyway.

He can't wait to come and live with us!!!

He is sad and misses me and can't wait to see us agian!!! That is what he told Joy yesturday.

Basketball

I signed the girls up for basketball this year. They have both been having so much and and they are now both telling me that it is their favorite sport. They are both really good at it. It was interesting how the Parks and Rec people are doing it. For 3 weeks they held practice. They taught them a whole bunch of drills but didn't teach them much along the lines of rules of the game. After 3 weeks they separated them into grades and then separated them into teams for 3 on 3. They put the girls on the same team which is great but they have yet to play on the same team. There has always been not enough people on the other team so they always take one of my girls to put on the other team. Which is fine too because that means that I always get to cheer. Although I do gets some funny looks when I clap for both teams. I am so happy that the girls are enjoying this sport and can't wait to have them sign up again next year!!!!Go Nannie Go!!!
check out those dribbling skills
Nichole taking the ball down the court
Choley guarding someone.
The girls are the shortest ones on their team. Of course because of their birthday they put them with the 6th grade team instead of the 5th grade team.

And the day just gets better

We made Ella stay in her room and clean up her mess. Boy was that more of a punishment for us then for her. I went in to check on her and what was she doing... Sitting on her rocking chair with a fish in between her legs. Luckily the fish was still wiggling and I quickly put it back into the fish tank before it died. Then I look at the floor and Ella had gotten into our last box of band aids and opened every single one of them and put them on her carpet. mmmmm... Hawaii would be really good right now.
Later that day Ella said to me. I know what I am getting for Christmas.....COAL.

In need of a wig

I think I just pulled all of my hair out. That little girl of mine is going to make me completely bald one day. Today I went into her room to feed her fish and what did I find.... the box for one of Natalie's Christmas presents opened on her floor. I instantly went into a rant and yelled for Ella to come down the stairs. I asked her what she was doing with the box and made her find all of the stuff that went into the box. It was all hidden underneath her bed. She did eventually find it all. I stayed down there with her while she looked and what else did I find well, A tube of toothpaste all squeezed out that when asked she used for lotion. Her fish food emptied most of the way onto the floor (that had been AWOL for a while and when asked what happened to it she just said I don't know) a pen which she used to color on her new wallpaper with, cotton all over the floor because last night she also decided to rip apart one of her pillows. I think we may of found a little piece of my sanity there too which I am afraid can never be put back together. That all happened since Friday!!!! Ugh what is a mother to do? We have decided that the best method will be putting her in the chicken coop and putting the chickens in her room they atleast will keep it a little cleaner and will stay out of my stuff! It's a good thing I love that little girl.

Tyler is so funny

I just thought that I would write this down so that I wouldn't forget it. Tyler had to share a bed with Joy when they were in Vegas. He wasn't very fond of that. The next night he was very excited that he was back to having his own bed to sleep in. That night he said to me... "Momma I don't have to share a bed tonight."
ME: i know Ty isn't that nice?
Ty: " Yeah it is nice. You have to share a bed with Dad. You know if you want to while I am gone you can sleep in my bed so that you don't have to share with Daddy."
Me: " Thanks buddy but I kinda like to sleep in bed with dad."
Ty: "I know but just in case you can use my bed."
I thought that this was just hilarious. What a Sweet boy to let me sleep in his bed just in case it got to crowded in there with Nate or if his snoring was keeping me up.
