Oompa Loompa

Ella loves to dance. She would dance all day long. Every time she hears anything that could resemble music she busts a move. She is so funny to watch too. She told me that she wanted to have a dancing party for her next birthday party. But boys were not going to be invited because boys dance funny. They don't dance girly like girls do.

Sorry the video is on its side. I couldn't figure out how to rotate it.

Dancing Girls

The girls had so much fun with their friend Carlie this weekend. First they slept over at her house. Then Carlie came over here for a while. I really like it when they hang out with Carlie because they don't have a lot of friends in common and they both get along really well with Carlie. Plus Carlie is an awesome girl.

The Girls came up with this dance when they spent the night at Carlie's house. It's a little dark.

Tylers story

Tyler has always been my little author. He frequently writes books (seriously books that are like 20 pages and have been bound by his teacher) all of the time. Most of the time they don't really make a ton of sense and they do run on and on. But this was a short story that Tyler wrote. It says
Ones a little fox was walking in the woods. Then he hurd a nouse. Then he saw a hunter and the hunter's dogs. The fox didn't know what to do! The hunter was geting coser and coser! Then the fox ran away but the hunter and his dogs were chasing after him. Then he saw a birsh (bush) and went to it. He went in the birsh and the hunter and hid dogs didn't know were he went. That is the end.
The picture above is the fox hiding in the bush. I love reading his stories. Who knows maybe he will grow up and publish the most interesting books.

Secret Sister

We finished off our secret sister for our ward by having a nice dinner and a game. I had so much fun doing secret sister this year and I had an awesome secret sister that had me. I had Carol Parrot as my secret sister. Some of the things I did for her was lotion, chocolate dipped cake balls, white chocolate popcorn, a journal, a book and muffins. She had no idea who had her. The kids loved knocking on the door and running. And I enjoyed surprising her.
Jeannie Dooley had me as her secret sister. I was so surprised. She makes the best coconut cream pie. She also made me muffins and brownies. She gave me a book light, lotion, bath bombs, a bookmark, a cute cross stitch and the nicest letters. Thank you Jeannie you were awesome!!
During the secret sister dinner we had to tell 2 truths and 1 lie about ourselves and the ladies had to guess which one was the lie (apparently it is okay to lie if it is during a game). The things I said were...
1. I once stayed up for 48 hours straight so that I could read my favorite book (twilight)- twice.
2. I got hit in the face with a table leg.
3. I had done belly dancing before.
The lie was number 1.
Did you guess right? Most of the ladies guessed wrong.

Mystery Dinner

For the Young Women's/ Young Men's activity this week we had a murder mystery dinner. For the most part it ran smoothly and the kids had a great time. I laughed a lot and the kids really got into their parts. Most of them came dressed up. Who did it? Well lets just say that it is still a mystery to some of the kids. This is Ken and I am Helga.

Pay it Forward

Pay It Forward .....So, here's how it works: the first 3 people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year (probably within two month otherwise I'll forget! :)), a handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise! The catch is that you must participate as well. Before you leave your comment, write up a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going (or copy and paste like I did). Then come back, let me know you're going to play and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift! Please submit in the comment, your address, if I don't have it already. Remember that only the first 3 comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick!

Will you be my Valentine?

I had a great Valentine's Day with my hunna this year. For some reason I couldn't sleep that morning and got up at 5:30 which I think is way to early. Plus we didn't go to bed until late the night before. By the time that Nate got out of bed I had been awake for over 4 hours. Anyway, Nate and I got invited to go and do a sealing season at the temple. It was so great to go and hear those promises you make at the temple. I thought that it was a perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day. After the temple we went to Tucano's (which they just opened in Boise and is Nate's favorite restaurant).
When we got back into Mountain Home we had to go to Walmart to pick up somethings for the Elders Quorum dinner. And lucky me I got to cook noodles for 40 people (but only 16 showed up). We went to the Elders Quorum dinner which was a lot of fun and then headed home. After which I immediately crashed on the couch until bedtime.
I am so lucky to have Nate as my Valentine. He is such a great man and a wonderful example to me and the kids. I love you Babe.
I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day!

School Valentine's

The kids had so much fun this last week getting ready to celebrate Valentine's Day. We made treats to share and filled out Valentine's. Plus they got all that candy.
Both of Nichole's classes had to vote and agree on handing out Valentine Cards this year. Of course the kids wanted to. I was excited for that because with her being in middle school I wasn't sure how they were going to be celebrating Valentine's Day.
We had to buy double the cards this year because of the 2 classes.

Natalie's class didn't even give the kids an option. They didn't celebrate it at all. But I let Natalie fill out Valentine cards for her friends. It's hard to watch the other kids do it when you can't.
But the school handed out candy grams that you could buy for your friends. Natalie got quite a few of those. But she was unable to buy any. They sold them during lunch and she was working in the lunch room so she didn't get the chance to buy them.

Ella got these sponge animal's from her Grandma and Grandpa Musil for Valentine's Day. She loved making them. Plus I was gone taking pictures at a wedding the day that she opened them so it gave her something to do with the big girls.

Ella posing with Nichole's box of Valentine's.
I did help Ella make Valentine's Day cards for her friend. I had her write them out herself. She didn't like that at all. It says Happy Valentine Ella that is all I could get her to write and about all of the room she had on her tiny piece of paper

Tyler had a party in his class (that I didn't get to go to because we are temporarily a one car family) They made Valentine's day cards for their parents and had tons of junk food.
Tyler had a great time filling out his Valentine's Day cards. He would look at what they said and then pick which one of his friends to give it to. It was really cute and very sismilar to what I used to do when I was his age.

Ella's bad hair day?

Have you ever had a bad hair day? Well Ella woke up with quite the mess on the back of her head yesterday. I didn't even dare to brush it. I was to afraid that it would hurt her to bad so I just made her get in the tub and just washed the snarls out. The end result was a much nicer looking Ella.

Valentine's Day Treat

Nichole and I wanted to make a special Valentine's Day treat for our friends so when I found these cute rice crispy pop's online I had to give them a try (sorry I can't remember which blog I saw these on). They turned out very yummy. I made just regular rice crispy treats and then cute little pieces of carmel and put them on top of the warm rice crispy treats so that they would melt a little bit. I let the treats set up and then melted some almond bark and dipped the tops of the treats in the bark. After that I put cute holiday sprinkles on them. When the chocolate set up I put the sucker sticks inside the treats.

My ward is also doing secret sister's this month. So I wrapped some of the treats up and tried to make it look like a bouquet to give to my secret sister. I had my friend JoHanna drop it off at my secret sister's house. I wonder what she thought of JoHanna's green and blue hair.

It's about time he got his hair cut.

I don't know why I wait so long to get Ty's hair cut but I always do. Mostly because I think when done nicely his hair looks really cute long. But the rest of the time (which is basically all of the time) it just looks too long. The back doesn't look good at all. I thought that we would go in and just trim the top a little and the back and sides a lot. But he decided right before that he was going to get it all cut off. And he looks handsome. prehaircut.
JoHanna is doin some crazy styles with his hair.

Isn't he so handsome?

Hangin with Nicole

On Monday Nicole and I dawned our best clothes (well she put on her best and I laughed at it) and headed to Boise for a shopping trip.

Isn't this outfit super. The leggings are not done justice to the complete ugliness that they are. Besides being skin tight they are also very shiny. They remind me of a Aerosmith video, minus the way to much of Steven Tyler's manliness being exposed. And beside Nicole does look a lot better in these tights then Steven Tyler would.
